Terms and Conditions

The award is open to all websites registered under the .lk domain.
.com or re-directing sites are not eligible for the award.
The participating .lk domain is not expired at the time of applying and throughout the evaluating period.
The websites that contain any of the following will not be eligible to enter the award:
- Websites with Illegal, Obscene, Abusive, or Preposterous content.
- Websites that are of poor quality, in bad taste, or have defamatory content.
- Websites that have been deemed unsuitable for Competition by the management of LK Domain Registry for any other reason.
Multilingual websites will be eligible only if their content is available in Unicode standards.
Winners of the TopWeb.LK award within the last 12 months do not need to reapply, as the badge is valid for one year. However, if you make significant changes to your website that require re-evaluation, you may choose to apply again within the same year.

Candidates who win the TopWeb.LK badge from October 2024 to July 2025 will receive automatic entry into the BestWeb.LK 2025 competition.
No additional application fee is required for BestWeb.LK 2025.
Winners will be directly included in BestWeb.LK 2025 without needing to reapply.
Relevant website owners must provide category selection and other required information.
All other BestWeb.LK terms and conditions apply and will be enforced consistently.

To qualify for this award scheme, domain owners, web developers, and other parties are welcome to apply. However, approval from the registrant or admin is necessary to proceed with evaluations. Additionally, the report will be exclusively sent to the domain registrant, admin, billing, and technical contacts.
In the instance of gov.lk, ac.lk or sch.lk applying for the award, we require a consent letter authorized by the Head of the Department, Institute Head, or School Principal accordingly as an agreement to participate in the competition. This is compulsory and needs to be uploaded when completing the application form [Download Sample Consent Letter].
The Application fee is payable after you submit the online application and may vary as per the ongoing promotions. LK Domain Registry will only accept payment by the following methods:
- Debit or Credit card (Visa, MasterCard)
- Sampath Vishwa
- Dialog eZ Cash
The application fee may be paid directly through our system and is generally non-refundable under any circumstance.
The applicant must follow up on all emails sent and reply promptly.
All applicants should be reachable on the contact details provided by them.
A website is considered entered the award, after receiving an acknowledgment email from [email protected].

Applied websites will be subjected to review by the management/team of LK Domain Registry.
The entries will be judged and evaluated by LK Domain Registry team as per the Evaluation Criteria.
Choosing a winning website will be solely at the discretion of the management of LK Domain Registry and is not negotiable by applicants.
The applied websites can be scheduled for an external website scan at any time in the “Competition period” mentioned in the “Time Frame”.

The winners, if interested, can inform the TopWeb Team of their preferred promotional package by sending an email to [email protected]
The promotional package costs will have to be paid by the applicant after the invoice is issued to them. This cannot be paid through the system or by deducting the topped-up amount/s from existing wallet.
TopWeb Team will commence work after the payment has been made by the winner/s.
The Winner Package fees are not refundable once paid.

The winners will be informed via email on the usage of eBadge. Displaying this eBadge after winning the title is compulsory for all winners. If they are unable to update this during a period of 30 days, their winning title can be revoked by the Management of LK Domain Registry.
When displaying the eBadge on the website, it is important to adhere to the guidelines provided by TopWeb Team and link the eBadge to the provided URL by the TopWeb Team.
The management of LK Domain Registry has the authority to withdraw the winning title from the winner/s due to the reasons below but not limited to:
- When certain security concerns arise,
- When the website is not accessible,
- Misuse of the winning title,
- If TopWeb.LK badge is not displayed.

You are responsible for ensuring that any content that you submit does not infringe on the copyrights of others. If you are found to have used copyrighted content without permission, your entry will be disqualified and your award may be revoked. You agree to indemnify the organizers from any and all claims arising from your use of copyrighted content.
In the event of any conflicts during the award, the decision of the management of LK Domain Registry will be considered final.
LK Domain Registry reserves the right to distribute certain information about Applicants to third parties, including names and business addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these terms and conditions, criteria, or operating rules by posting updates and changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check our website periodically for changes. Your continued access to our website following the posting of any changes to the above constitutes acceptance of those changes.
