What is

TopWeb.LK?

TopWeb.LK is a monthly Awards Scheme which provides an opportunity to transform your website from good to great while enabling to compete confidently in the BestWeb.LK competition.

The objective of this award is to improve the quality of all .lk websites to meet a minimum standard. It is the latest addition to the activities of by the LK Domain Registry. The awards will be held in selected months from January 2023.

Why Take Part in

TopWeb.LK?

  • Show that your website meets the standards expected.
  • Applicants will be eligible for a security scan at an economical rate and will receive advice on how to fix issues.
  • You will receive a comprehensive report and guidance on why your site did not get an award this month.
  • Free entry to a Webinar as to how you may fix the issues and re-apply for the next award.
  • An opportunity to have your website evaluated on vulnerabilities, etc.
  • Winners will receive an e-badge and certificate to be displayed on your marketing material and website.
  • Promotional opportunities for the business.
  • Winners’ websites will be featured on TopWeb.LK website, with a link to the winning websites.
  • Recognize the Web Developer or the team behind the hard work of creating your website.

Who Can Apply for

TopWeb.LK?

The award is open to all websites registered under the .lk domain.

Please refer to the Terms and Conditions to check if your website complies with the eligibility criteria.

Who can’t apply for TopWeb.LK?
  • Previous years’ BestWeb.LK Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Overall category winners are not eligible to apply.
  • Winners of the TopWeb.LK award within the last 12 months. (e.g., TopWeb.LK winners of April 2023 are not eligible to apply for TopWeb.LK Award from May 2023 to April 2024).

How to Apply

TopWeb.LK?

An Application Fee of LKR 15,000 will be charged per domain. This Application Fee needs to be paid after the application details have been filled up. The payment could be made via Card (VISA and Mastercard), Sampath Vishwa, and eZ Cash.

Applications to be completed via TopWeb.LK. In the instance of gov.lk, ac.lk or sch.lk applying for the competition, we require a consent letter authorized by the Head of the Department, Institute Head, or School Principal accordingly as an agreement to participate in the competition. This is compulsory and needs to be uploaded when completing the application form [Download Sample Consent Letter]. The management of LK Domain Registry reserves the right to request additional information if required and if the information is not sent on the given time period, the entries will not be evaluated.

By winning TopWeb.LK monthly award, your website can confidently compete in the BestWeb.LK Competition.

BestWeb.LK is an annual web-based competition since 2009 conducted by LK Domain Registry that provides an exclusive opportunity to showcase Sri Lankan abilities online. BestWeb.LK competition has different categories to compete and special awards are awarded where as TopWeb.LK evaluation is done on common attributes, where both aim to uplift the standards of “.LK” websites.
